根据 Ubuntu 官方解释， Ubuntu 9.10 开始更改了语言输入方法，不再是 SCIM 而是新的 iBUS。

New input method framework

Ubuntu has switched to IBus as preferred input method framework. Unlike the previously used SCIM, IBus is under active development and fixes a number of SCIM’s design limitations.

The language selector tool now gives the user the possibility to select the preferred input method framework.

这就是为什么我这次在新安装的Ubuntu 9.10里按照以前的方法想打开SCIM时遇到了“no configuration file “scim-bridge” exists.” 的错误信息。

猜猜还要多久就可以看到目前流行的 Liunx 类操作系统 Ubuntu 最新版本 7.10？呵呵，你已经从上面倒计时牌得知了。这次新版本的代号是Gutsy Gibbon。根据 Ubuntu 的解释，他们一般都是每半年推出新版本，而且版本的命名规则是年份加月份。所以上次是今年4月份推出的，就称版本号 7.40。而这次会在10月份推出，就叫 7.10了。

这几天一直在用SSH登录到网页服务器安装、调试WordPress 2.3和WordPress Mu。不免要移动、复制文件。但自己老是记不住怎样复制整个文件夹的那个简单命令。就算记住了，每次试了几次才能搞对。

好了，为了提醒和方便自己，这次特意写进博客。

一般来说，先进入要被拷入的目录，然后再用cp命令会简单多了。这个困惑我的简单命令就是：

cp -R ~/source-directory-name .

这里， ~/source-directory-name 就是你要复制的源文件夹。不要忘了命令最后那个句号点 （.）， 这个点代表要拷入的目前目录。当然，如果你不是先进入该目录，则你就要将被拷入的文件目录名写全了。
