It is very interesting that there are a lot of talks about Google leaving China on the Internet now (A New Approach to China). More interesting since I just came back from China and expressed my totally dis-satisfied about the Chinese Great FireWall and Internet censorship. But I really do not think Google decided to withdraw because of my complaint LOL, not the recent cyber-attacks either. My thinking is that Google’s behavior is purely political and business oriented strategy.
As a big entity appears in Internet Cyber world, it is a very usual thing to have cyber attacks. Dear friends, wish you have a great year of 2010. Sorry I have not updated the blog for a while since I just traveled back to China at the end of 2009.
Thanks to the damn Chinese Great Firewall, I still can connect to my own blogs even I could not connect to Twitter.com, Facebook.com and other my important favorites.
I do not really feel sorry for my hometown fellowers as I did before. Even I felt pity for them to lose almost half popular web sites in the world. But you know, Chinese people is still happy in their “own” internet world. Look around the cyber cafes I ever walked in, every body especially the teenagers is HAPPY with all kind of PC Games, or online chat rooms. In China, who cares Twitter.com, Facebook.com anyway, LOL.
Furthermore, without the authenticate web 2.0 services web sites, our Chinese friends can easily have some similar copy-cat web sites running inside the Great FireWall. After all, ShanZhai (means imiation) is the most popular term in the Chinese Internet right now.
So, wish all the netizens around the world a happy new Year.
