Can not resist the media teasing about the new browser from Google - Chrome. Here is the installation I conducted today.
First of first, you need to download it from Google Chrome website which is hard for the public to find from its main site or the link from Google’s main page. The link is http://www.google.com/chrome
And you can choose Save or Open when you see the download dialog window. For me, I just used Save in case I need to install on other machines too.

Actually it does not matter since the download was pretty quick and the installer file is very small with the size of 475 KB. So you can download from any other machines quickly with the normal Internet connect speed. [updated] And you need the Internet connection anyway, since the installer will connect to Google server to download the rest of files for the installation.
Secondly, to install it. I located the downloaded setup file and double clicked it, [updated] the installer started to download the other setup files. Upon the download was done, the first screen was to show me what Chrome would do in the install process. Like Import bookmark from IE (Why only IE? It seems Google only target Microsoft so far in the browser war the default import is from IE, and you can change it to Firefox from the customize option during installation or after.) , and create shortcuts etc.

Again, very amazing, the above screen was the only window (the process window was there but completed and disappeared very quickly) I saw in the whole installation process. Ua-Whole, before I realize, the Google Chrome quickly finished its installation, and I had a light, full functional browser on my machine in less than 1 minute already. A typical Google application style! And the following screen shot was Chrome’s default page with most visited page thumbnails.
Now, I can play around with this new installed browser.
Overall, it is a very clean browser just like others (IE 7.0 and Firefox 3.0) with tabs and search toolbar, etc.. I am more interested on its customization feature. I noticed that it does not have a File menu, and two icons on the top right can lead you all customization menus. This first page icon can allow you to customize on the current web page, and the second wrench icon can do global level customization.

What do we have on the Page level options?
There are 7 sections (separators) in the Page menu. They are for New Tab/Windows, Application Shortcut, Edit, Search, Font/Language, Developer and help options. The below screen shot is for the developer toolkit sub-menu, very helpful for us who like to look around other people’s web pages.
How about the global options?
Only three tabs in the global options windows. Pretty much the common as other modern browsers, like password save, download location and other options.

What is the unique feature I did not see in other browser?
I am still looking at it, but I found one Chrome feature which is interesting. Google calls it Incognito browser mode. Basically it is for such people who worry about their online privacy. In this mode, the pages you visited would not appear in the Browser History, neither any cookies of web sites you visited. Other than the bookmarks you keep, other private information will be traceless in the Incognito mode. Ennnn, next time I will try it if I am going to visit playboy website (just kidding…). Have fun with your new Browser toy!!

Last, let us uninstall it
No matter how good it is, Google Chrome is a beta version software after all. There should be a lot of glitches and bugs. So the ablility to uninstall it is equally important. Unfortunately I could not completely un-install it the first time, the Google Chrome still existed in the Control Panel. Till I removed it twice and then I could be confirmed that Chrome got removed and was re-directed to a Google Questionarie page.
Although I liked the cute question (Was it something we said?) from Google when I tried the un-installation.

Another thing I do not understand is why Chrome generated more than one system process in my Task Manger consol even only one tab is opened?
