Since only NBC has the exclusive authorization to broadcast all Olympics 2008 games in America, and it only shows American team games at evening prime times. It is very hard to watch some interesting games at real time if they do not have American team participation and not take part in American prime time. I thought I could do it from the internet like before. But this time unfortunately the normal way of watching stream video online does not work since all official Olympics partner websites only open to China region users. That means these video sites block all overseas IP addresses from watching games live.

Of course, there are no easy ways to do this task does not mean there is no way to do so. Here is a easy tip I found out for you to watch games online without installing any plug-ins outside the great China regions. But the video quality is not always very good. You can try yourself and good luck.

First of all, please make sure you already have Microsoft Windows Media Player latest version installed on your machine. If not, please go to Microsoft website to download for free.

Second, open your Window Media Player and click File –> Open URL, and copy and paste the following stream video URLs

Last notes. If you do not like the stream video quality from the above official CCTV urls, you can try a very good TV stream software. The name is TVANTS and was tested a lot of overseas during last weekend’s Olympics opening ceremony. You can download it from here (http://download.tvants.com/pub/tvants/tvants1/win32/bin/TvantsSetup.EXE)

After you install it (you can uninstall later if you donot like it), then open the main program. To view the games, you can select CCTV-5 as the channel. Sometimes, the TVAnts internal player will take a lot of times to buffer. If the internal player does not work, the program will warn you and you can switch to Windows Media Player instead to watch games with TVAnts.
